Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my first blog. School can be a challenge especially when it is combined with such things as work, home and family. In my case I have dealt with the loss of two family members within a six month period, my mother and my sister, and also fighting the same cancer battle is my 13 yr old cousin. I do not mention this for sympathy, but to make a point.
I have been at kaplan university for a year now, and I have good grades. I enjoy school tremendously and it has been an outlet for me, since you have to think to get through the classes. I am also disabled with epilepsy and other medical issues, but I won't be held down. If a man with no leg can win a decathalon, why can't I finish school? After all the only muscle you are using is brain power not physical power. If a two legged dog can be happy, run and play then I say, to heck with failure. My motto has always been. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!! I wish everyone the best.
God Bless All,
Sal

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for the losses you have gone through with your family, but you are correct when you say these types of things keeps you going and even more determined. You should be very proud of yourself for maintaining such good grades and keeping such a positive outlook on life. Kudos to you :-)
I am with you all the way through this. I had a near death experience and it made me closer to God than I thought I could ever be. I am a nurse and though this all I have lost a lost of friends and family. I took care of so many of my friends and family when I was well and working and they deserted me. My lesson was to be closer to my Creator. He imparted me with new knowledge during that time and I know you can make it. I am starting over, my husband, who was a pastor; deserted me and left town with a woman but I am determined to make it through all of this. I don't want sympathy either, I just want to encourage you. Bless you. Kay
