Hello All,
Much of my writing of late has been school related, although I enjoy writing short stories and poems. Kaplan has showed me how to apply APA and how to use citation correctly in my work, but I seem to be learning alot I thought I knew already being in school at my age. At age almost 50 I never knew how much more I could learn and am finding out quickly how much more learning is yet to be journeyed into. I am happy to be finally receiving my Associates degree, but am disappointed I did not pursue it earlier in life. I have no regrets except to mention I wish I had followed my heart in my younger years. I am happy with my life and my choices since I now have the freedom to follow through with my college plans. I am doing well and am happy with my progress as I wish all of you are. Feel free to ontact me for any reason, and we can share stories, or academic future choices. I wish all my Kaplan University classmates of college composition II for healthcare and am looking forward to joining the Medical Transcribing Field. I am hoping to do this as a home based business, and luckily California is one of the many states seeking 40+ persons in this field choice that prefer Medical Transcribers work from home, which for me is a plus since I live in California and am 40+. I wish you all the best, and God Bless you All.

Just in it to win it, follow me so we can communicate..

Hello All,
Welcome to my blog, and I invite all my classmates at Kaplan to follow my blog and invite me to follow you, so that we can communicate with each other. I am here to help if at all possible and perhaps get a little hand from some of you. I am 49 years young, with three adult children 1 girl 31 yrs old, two boys 28 yrs and 27 yrs old. I also have 9 grandkids as well. I am now located in Northern California with my fiance, I am originally from Arizona but moved to here to be with my future husband and his children. I like the weather here in Cali, but I miss my family back in Arizona, since I don't know anyone here except my fiance and his family. I am sure I will meet some friends here eventually, but have only been here for a few months. I hope to hear from everyone here reading my educational blog from Kaplan University. I wish you all the best, and I have a strong belief in God and his grand design, and a true believer in the saying "all things happen for a reason". Everything we do or have done has lead up this moment and moments to come in our future that will lead us where he intended us to be.
God bless you all,
Sal

Never Give Up

Hello Everyone,
Welcome to my first blog. School can be a challenge especially when it is combined with such things as work, home and family. In my case I have dealt with the loss of two family members within a six month period, my mother and my sister, and also fighting the same cancer battle is my 13 yr old cousin. I do not mention this for sympathy, but to make a point.

I have been at kaplan university for a year now, and I have good grades. I enjoy school tremendously and it has been an outlet for me, since you have to think to get through the classes. I am also disabled with epilepsy and other medical issues, but I won't be held down. If a man with no leg can win a decathalon, why can't I finish school? After all the only muscle you are using is brain power not physical power. If a two legged dog can be happy, run and play then I say, to heck with failure. My motto has always been. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!! I wish everyone the best.
God Bless All,
Sal
